Danny ClinchIf you’ve got tickets to see Neil Young‘s Rebel Content summer tour, there’s no need to wonder whether you’ll see Young acoustic or amped. Turns out, you’ll see both.

Young will begin his shows with a solo acoustic set before turning up the volume with the backing of California band Promise of the Real, fronted by Willie Nelson’s sons Lukas and Micah. Both sets will feature a mix of old and new songs, Young’s people say.

The Rebel Content tour kicks off July 5th at Milwaukee’s Summer Fest. Neil Young and Promise of the Real are set to release the ecologically and environmentally focused album The Monsanto Years June 29.
