Jeff Kravitz/FilmMagicThe four surviving core members of The Grateful Dead — singer-guitarist Bob Weir, singer-bassist Phil Lesh, and drummers Mickey Hart and Bill Kreutzmann — opened their Fare Thee Well tour in Santa Clara, California, at Levi’s Stadium on Saturday night.

The band — missing the late Jerry Garcia — was joined by Phish leader Trey Anastasio, Bruce Hornsby and keyboardist Jeff Chimenti.

The Grateful Dead played the same venue on Sunday night. They’ll complete the tour with three dates at Chicago’s Soldier Field on July 3, 4 and 5. The concerts celebrate the band’s 50th anniversary.
