Camerawork USAElton John has announced details of this year’s edition of Smash Hits, the annual charity tennis match he co-hosts with his old friend, legendary tennis star Billie Jean King. The 2015 event is scheduled to take place October 12 in Las Vegas at Caesars Palace, the site of Elton’s “Million Dollar Piano” residency.

This marks the first time in the fundraiser’s 23-year history that it will be held in Las Vegas. Joining John and King at the event will be four champion tennis players — Andre Agassi, his wife Steffi Graf, Martina Navratilova and Andy Roddick. Agassi has played at 13 previous Smash Hits matches, while Navratilova and Roddick have appeared at 11 and Graf at three events.

During the event, Elton and Billie Jean each captain a team. Over the years, they’ve pulled down 11 wins each. Smash Hits raises money for the Elton John AIDS Foundation as well as AIDS charities located in the area where the event is held. This year’s local beneficiary is Aid for AIDS of Nevada.

“It is always such a great pleasure to co-host this wonderful event with my dear friend Billie Jean King,” says Elton in a statement. “I urge all tennis fans and concerned citizens in the Las Vegas area to support this event and bring their families for a wonderful evening of tennis for a great cause.”

Tickets are on sale now via AXS.com and WTTSmashHits.com. Last year’s event, which was held in London, raised more than $1 million, and the bringing the total money earned by the charity event to more than $13 million.
