Keith Richards: Under the Influence will be shown as part of the festival’s “Primetime” program, which will showcase various international projects that are slated to be broadcast on television.

A specific theatrical premiere hasn’t been announced yet for the Richards doc, but the Toronto film fest runs from September 10 to September 20. As previously reported, Keith Richards: Under the Influence was directed by Morgan Neville — the filmmaker behind the Oscar-winning documentary 20 Feet from Stardom — and focuses on the rock legend’s long musical journey, as well as the making of his upcoming solo album, Crosseyed Heart.

The film features new conversations with Richards, and follows him as he visits three cities — Chicago, Nashville and New York –where much of the music that helped influence his own sound and style was created.

Crosseyed Heart will be released on September 18, the same day Keith Richards: Under the Influence debuts on Netflix.
