Jeff Kravitz/FilmMagicThe long, strange trip continues. The latest Grateful Dead spin off, Dead & Company, is taking its show on the road. The group, featuring three of the four core surviving members of the band playing with guitarist John Mayer, have announced eight new shows.

The newly announced dates run from an October 29 show in Albany, New York, to a New Year’s Eve stand, December 30 and 31, in Los Angeles. The group made the announcement on Instagram.

As previously reported, Dead & Company features founding Grateful Dead singer/guitarist Bob Weir, Dead drummers Bill Kreutzmann and Mickey Hart, and Mayer, along with longtime Allman Brothers Band bassist Oteil Burbridge and RatDog keyboardist Jeff Chimenti, but not founding Dead bass player Phil Lesh. The band already had announced shows on October 31 and November 1 at New York City’s Madison Square Garden.

Tickets for the added shows go on sale August 28, but American Express card holders will have access to pre-sale tickets beginning August 26.
