Credit: MJ KimPaul McCartney continues to expand his fall North American tour plans. The former Beatles star has just announced three new concerts that will take place during October, bringing his total of confirmed dates to five.

The newly added shows are scheduled for October 15 in State College, Pennsylvania; October 21 in Detroit; and October 22 in Buffalo, New York. These dates join previously announced gigs October 13 in Columbus, Ohio, and October 17 in Toronto.

McCartney’s shows in State College and Buffalo will mark the first time he’s ever performed in those cities. The last time Sir Paul played Detroit was in 2011, but his upcoming performance will be the first time he’s ever played at the Motor City’s Joe Louis Arena.

Tickets for the newly announced shows will go on sale to the general public starting Monday, August 31, at 10 a.m. ET. American Express Card members will have the chance to buy pre-sale tickets beginning this Thursday, August 27, at 10 a.m. ET.

In other news, McCartney has made a “single edit” version of his 1982 hit “Take It Away” available as a free download at his official website in celebration of the upcoming reissue of his early-1980s solo albums Tug of War and Pipes of Peace, which will be released on October 2. While the original version of “Take It Away” appears on the 1982 Tug of War album, the newly remastered single edit is only available, for free, at PaulMcCartney.com.
