On the same day Crosseyed Heart is released, the recently reported documentary Keith Richards: Under the Influence, which focuses on the making of the album, will debut on Netflix. The film also is scheduled to get its theatrical premiere on Thursday at the Toronto International Film Festival.

Meanwhile, in a new interview with The Quietus, Richards reveals that he recently met with his fellow Rolling Stones members and they all agreed that they want to record a new album.

“Everybody said, ‘Yes! We must go in the studio!'” says Keith. “Where or when I can’t yet say but in the near future. At last I’ve got the boys wanting to get into the studio.”

Richards explains that in order for a Stones recording to happen, “they all have to want to do it at the same time,” adding, “That’s the thing with guys — you can’t drag ’em in at gunpoint — but I’ve got the message that they want to. I’m hopeful.”

The Stones’ last studio album, A Bigger Bang, came out in 2005.
