In addition to a solo appearance by Haynes, this year’s lineup includes The Doobie Brothers, the electric version of Hot Tuna, Bruce Hornsby and Tedeschi Trucks Band, featuring Warren’s fellow Allman Brothers alum Derek Trucks.

For the 17th year running, the Christmas Jam will benefit Asheville Area Habitat for Humanity. Proceeds raised will go toward building energy-efficient houses, as well as purchasing and developing property for future Habitat projects.

Among the other confirmed artists on the 2015 Christmas Jam bill are Joe Bonamassa, Dawes and Blackberry Smoke, while more acts will be announced soon. Tickets for the show go on sale to the general public on October 23, while a pre-sale for VIP tickets and travel packages starts this Friday, October 9.

In addition to the main concert, a series of “Christmas Jam by Day” events will be scheduled that will include music performances and art exhibits held at various locations in and around Asheville during that same weekend. There also is an initiative called “Before the Jam Lend a Hand,” which gives volunteers the chance to help build the houses funded by Christmas Jam donations.
