Atlantic RecordsPhil Collins recently underwent emergency back surgery and, as a result, he’s had to push back the release of his solo album reissue campaign.

The longtime Genesis singer/drummer has been advised by his doctors not to travel, meaning he’d be unable to fulfill his promotional obligations initially planned for the “Take a Look at Me Now” retrospective campaign. The release of the first two reissues from the project — 1981’s Face Value and 1993’s Both Sides — have been pushed back from November 6 to January 29.

“I am so disappointed to have to delay the release but am looking forward to being able to properly get behind this release in the new year when I can move again!” Collins says in a statement.

Phil plans to eventually re-release all eight of his solo albums as deluxe editions, which will feature bonus live versions of songs, demos and B-sides.
