Webster & AssociatesYou’ll be seeing an awful lot of Dolly Parton in the week leading up to the premiere of her Coat of Many Colors TV movie, which airs Thursday, December 10, on NBC. The country music icon from East Tennessee kicks off her round of media appearances with a visit to CBS’ The Talk this Thursday, December 3, at 2 p.m. ET.

Then next Monday and Tuesday, she’ll be on Hallmark Channel’s Home & Family, and also will stop NBC’s Today show on both Tuesday and Thursday morning. The movie itself premieres that Thursday night at 9 p.m. ET.

Jennifer Nettles stars as Parton’s mother, Avie Lee, in the film, which is based on her autobiographical 1971 hit tune. Ricky Schroder plays her dad. Dolly Parton’s Coat of Many Colors is the first in a series of movies Parton is making with NBC. Jolene, based on her memorable 1974 song of the same name, is set to be the next film.
