Image Courtesy of Blackbird PresentsSurviving Beatles Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr will make special video appearances at the star-studded concert commemorating the 75th anniversary of their late band mate John Lennon‘s birth. In addition, John Fogerty and modern rockers Spoon have joined the lineup of performers for the show, which will take place Friday, December 5, at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

As previously reported, the event, dubbed Imagine: John Lennon 75th Birthday Concert, will air exclusively on AMC December 19 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. Actor Kevin Bacon has been added to the festivities as a special guest host. The performers will be accompanied by a house band that includes keyboardist Greg Phillinganes, drummer Kenny Aronoff and bassist Lee Sklar, as well as guitarists Felicia Collins and Sid McGinnis from Paul Shaffer‘s CBS Orchestra.

Peter Frampton, Aerosmith‘s Steven Tyler, Kris Kristofferson, Sheryl Crow, Willie Nelson, Train‘s Pat Monahan and The Roots are among the many previously announced stars slated to take the stage at Imagine: John Lennon 75th Birthday Concert.
