Longtime E Street Band guitarist Nils Lofgren plans to reschedule eight previously announced concerts, running from a January 21 show in Durham, North Carolina, through a March 12 performance in Saratoga, California.

In a statement on his official website, Lofgren writes, “To all the wonderful people who have purchased tickets for my upcoming Nils Lofgren solo shows and the clubs and theaters who’ve been kind enough to invite me to perform, I am truly sorry I must postpone these shows due to an unexpected run of concerts with the E Street Band of which I’ve been a member for 31 years. We will work with the venues to reschedule these shows as soon possible to honor my commitments which my team and I take very seriously.”

He adds, “I apologize to all for the inconveniences this causes and will make it up to you all as best as I can.”

The Lofgren dates unaffected by the Springsteen tour span from a March 30 show in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, through a May 17-18 stand in Minneapolis. Nils will be promoting his recently released concert album, UK 2015 Face the Music Tour, during his trek.

As previously reported, The River Tour will kick off on January 16 in Pittsburgh, and currently is slated to wind down on March 17 in Los Angeles. Each concert on the trek “will include an in-sequence, complete performance of The River album in addition to other Springsteen favorites,” according to a note posted on Bruce’s official website.
