The show also will feature performances by Jackson Browne, Judy Collins, Indigo Girls, Emmylou Harris, Mary Chapin Carpenter, David Bromberg and other respected artists, and will be recorded for an upcoming episode of the long-running PBS series Great Performances.

The event will feature the various artists performing a selection of songs from throughout Baez’s long career, which has spanned more than 55 years. Joan, who turned 75 January 9, will follow the show with a U.S. tour, for which she’s teamed with Amnesty International USA to help raise awareness about the high rate of incarceration among minorities in the U.S.

Baez says in a statement, “I am pleased once again to be joining forces with Amnesty International, this time on the critical and urgent issue of racial and ethnic disparities of incarceration, right here in the United States.”
