The gala, which will be hosted by journalist Soledad O’Brien, also will celebrate the achievements of various young people who have demonstrated leadership in working toward helping the environment.

The party will celebrate the 24th anniversary of Global Green USA, and is expected to be attended by many well-known green-minded celebrities. The event seeks to raise awareness of and funds to support the organization’s work toward creating “climate-resilient cities” and inspiring young environmentally minded leaders.

“Global Green USA is proud to collaborate with the entertainment industry to celebrate the recent progress in climate change and environmental achievements and to raise funds to continue our critical work in Los Angeles and in cities across the country,” says the organization’s CEO, Dr. Les McCabe.

Tickets and VIP passes for the bash can be purchased at GlobalGreen.org. Global Green USA is the U.S. affiliate of Green Cross International, an organization founded in 1993 by former Soviet Union President Mikhail Gorbachev to encourage support of more sustainable environmental policies around the world.
