The USDA Forest Service and the Michigan Department of Natural Resources and Environment have partnered with The Greening of Detroit and the Michigan Department of Transportation in a major southeast Michigan tree planting initiative. This project was funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009.
