Credit: Ross HalfinJeff Beck recently announced that he’ll celebrate his 50-year music career at an August 10 concert at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles featuring special guest Buddy Guy, and it now turns out that the two guitar legends will play a series of summer tour dates together. The trek is scheduled to kick off on July 19 in Port Chester, New York, and currently runs through the aforementioned Los Angeles show, although more dates will be added.

The tour also will include performances in New York City and Nashville, as well as an appearance at the Ravinia Festival in the Chicago suburb of Highland Park, Illinois. A couple of Beck’s scheduled shows will be without Guy.

Meanwhile, as previously reported, Beck has been putting together his first book, titled BECK01, which focuses on his passion for both guitars and fast cars. The coffee-table book will be published in a signed, limited-edition version later this year. For more information about BECK01, visit
