Both the Emeralds and the Mustangs came out with strong defense in the first quarter of action with Munising taking the lead with 12 points over the Manistique 11. The second Quarter the Munising Mustangs kicked it up a notch out scoring the Emeralds 12-9, ending the half with a 24 to 19 lead.
The second half continued with Munising stocking up the turnovers but still able to take the third quarter 34-26. The fourth quarter had a great charge by the mustangs to end up with a 42-34 victory over the Emeralds.
