The Big Interview — Special Edition: Legends Lost, which premieres June 7 at 8 p.m. ET, will honor the lives of David Bowie, Natalie Cole and Prince, among others.

The hour-long special will be divided into segments focusing on each individual artist and will use archival footage and exclusive interviews to give viewers an inside look at the music stars’ lives and careers.

During the show, Rather will chat with painter George Underwood, a childhood friend of Bowie, about the influential rock singer and songwriter. In addition, producer David Foster will share his thoughts on Cole and her award-winning 1991 album, Unforgettable…with Love. Also, Prince’s best friend and original bassist, Andre Cymone, will make a rare TV appearance to give insight into the musical genius’ personal life that many people never got to see.

Other recently departed music legends who will be paid tribute during the special include blues icon B.B. King and country great Merle Haggard.
