ABC/Ida Mae Astute; Courtesy of Webster PRWhile The Monkees have a new song called “You Bring the Summer,” the summer will bring a new AXS TV series featuring a performance by, that’s right, The Monkees! The program, dubbed AXS TV Concerts Hosted by Mark Cuban, premieres August 11 at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT with a full-length show by the 1960s pop-rock group.

Each episode of the five-week series will feature a 90-minute concert recorded live at a state-of-the-art venue in Dallas called The Bomb Factory. Other acts appearing on the series include disco legends KC & the Sunshine Band and The Village People, whose episodes will air on August 18 and September 1, respectively. In addition, Poison frontman Bret Michaels will be featured on the August 18 show, while Bad Company will close out the series on September 8.

“With this exclusive series, I wanted to craft a fun live concert event, giving viewers the best seat in the house to experience these legendary acts,” says AXS TV Concerts host Mark Cuban, who’s the founder and CEO of the high-definition channel. “From disco and funk to classics and metal, there’s truly something here for everyone to enjoy as we send summer out on a high note with some of the most beloved anthems of all-time.”
