The 90-minute event will take place on West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol, and will be hosted by Tom Bergeron, host of ABC’s Dancing with the Stars.

This is Bergeron’s fourth time in five years hosting A Capitol Fourth: He missed hosting the show last year, but tells ABC Radio, “I’m so excited to be back, and this is a unique stage.”

He adds, “To be on the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol with a few hundred thousand of your closest personal friends on the Fourth of July…is — even on a humid July night in Washington — a goosebumps-inducing experience.”

What makes this particular show special? Bergeron explains, “Location, location, location. And we have the best one, because we’re in the nation’s capital. And particularly this year, it’s a great opportunity to take a little breather in a decisive election [cycle], and remember that there is common ground to be had.”

In addition to Robinson and Loggins, the 2016 A Capitol Fourth lineup includes singer/songwriter Gavin DeGraw, classical star Jackie Evancho, country artist Cassadee Pope, former Glee actress Amber Riley, Younger star Sutton Foster and the cast of On Your Feet!, the Broadway musical based on the life and music of Gloria Estefan. The national anthem will be sung by The Voice winner Alison Porter, and the show also will feature the traditional fireworks display and performances by military bands.
