Sunshine SoundDisco legends KC and the Sunshine Band have released a lyric video for their latest single, “We Belong Together,” that premiered on The Huffington Post’s Queer Voices section, which features stories and news concerning the LGBT community. The pulsating electronic dance tune, which was produced by Swedish DJ/producer StoneBridge, celebrates love between people regardless of their gender.

The video features a kaleidoscopic montage of scenes taking place in cities and at the beach, many of which showing various same-sex couples sharing affectionate moments. There also are numerous exhilarating clips of people skydiving.

In a post on the KC and the Sunshine Band website, frontman Harry Wayne “KC” Casey discusses his inspiration to write “We Belong Together.”

“I remember, I had just met someone, and it was right at that beginning stage when just the sound of their name gives you butterflies,” recalls KC. “[The song] came from that feeling of just wanting to be with someone, and knowing you belong with this person.”
