Myrna SuarezIf you were planning on seeing Billy Joel this month at Madison Square Garden, hold on to your tickets — the show has been rescheduled.

The September 30 show has been moved to November 21 to give the Piano Man time to rest his voice after endoscopic sinus surgery, reports Newsday.

A spokeswoman for Joel gave a statement to the paper that said, “The procedure will require him to rest his voice and avoid any strenuous activity. With several weeks of rest, Billy is expected to make a full recovery.”

Joel’s October 28 show at the Garden — part of his ongoing once-a-month residency — remains as scheduled.
