CBS SUNDAY MORNINGJust a reminder, Bruce Springsteen will appear today on CBS Sunday Morning, airing 9 a.m. ET.

The rocker discusses his battle with depression in an interview with Anthony Mason.

“It lasted for more than a year and then it would slip away. Then it would come back for a year and a half,” Springsteen says. “It sneaks up on you. I got to where I didn’t want to get out of bed, you know? And you’re not behaving well at home, and you’re tough on everybody.”

In the interview Springsteen visits his hometown of Freehold, New Jersay and discusses his difficult relationship with his father; his childhood in Freehold, New Jersey; the passing of saxophonist Clarence Clemons and how his memoir, Born to Run, came to be.

Springsteen’s book arrives in stores September 27.
