Goldenlane RecordsA new box set featuring the recordings Ike & Tina Turner made for the Pompeii Records label in 1968 and 1969 has just been released. The Complete Pompeii Recordings 1968-1969 is three-CD collection that includes the famed soul duo’s 1968 album So Fine and the 1969 release Cussin’, Cryin’ and Carryin’ On, as well as A Black Man’s Soul, a 1969 record that Ike made with his backing group The Kings of Rhythm.

The compilation features 33 tracks, including the 1968 single “So Fine,” and covers of such tunes as “Shake a Tail Feather” and “Poor Little Fool.” Each disc is packaged in a sleeve replicating the artwork of the original albums.
