PRNewsFoto/Columbia RecordsBarry Gibb‘s new solo album, In the Now, was released today, and to promote the record the Bee Gees singer will be all over television during the next week or so.

This Wednesday, the famed artist will be the musical guest on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, which airs at 11:35 p.m. ET/10:35 p.m. CT on NBC. The following morning, Gibb will perform on NBC’s Today show, which begins at 7 a.m. ET. Barry also will take part in CBS This Morning‘s “Saturday Sessions” performance series on October 15. That program also airs at 7 a.m.

Meanwhile, as previously reported, Gibb will attend a special listening for In The Now in New York City on Friday, October 14. The event will be held at Joe’s Pub and will start at 5:30 p.m. ET.

In the Now features 12 new songs that Barry wrote with his sons Stephen and Ashley. It’s only his second solo effort, following 1984’s Now Voyager. Several of the tunes focus on Gibb’s reflections on his three late younger brothers — his Bee Gees band mates Robin and Maurice, and his youngest sibling, Andy — and his decision to continue creating new music.

In a new interview with Billboard, Barry explains, “The album is my opinion of life, my feelings and my journey with my brothers, and without my brothers, with my parents and without my parents, and with my own family, seeing my kids have their own kids.”
