Credit: Lawrence WatsonVan Morrison has released a new performance video showcasing “Every Time I See a River,” one of the songs on his latest studio album, Keep Me Singing. The clip, which can be viewed at Morrison’s official VEVO YouTube channel, features the 71-year-old Rock and Roll Hall of Famer crooning the soulful tune in front of an intimate audience with accompaniment from his tasteful backing group.

Morrison co-wrote the song with acclaimed lyricist Don Black, who has penned the words to many famous movie-soundtrack tunes, including “Ben,” “To Sir with Love” and the theme to the James Bond film The World Is Not Enough. Van also contributes guitar to the studio version of “Every Time I See a River.

Released in late September, Keep Me Singing debuted at #9 on the Billboard 200, making it Morrison’s highest-charting record ever on the tally.

Morrison recently played six U.S. concerts in support of his new album, and he will return to play five more stateside shows in January.
