NBCUniversalThe new trailer for Dolly Parton’s Christmas of Many Colors: Circle of Love gives us a glimpse at the country-pop legend’s first small-screen role in some time: She plays the Painted Lady, also known as the “town trollop” — a woman from her hometown who she’s claimed for years was the one who inspired her distinctive look.

The two-hour sequel to the popular TV movie Coat of Many Colors finds Dolly Parton‘s dad taking a dangerous job in a mine, both to pave the way for a happy holiday for his family and to buy a long-overdue wedding ring for Dolly’s mom, Avie Lee Parton, once again played by country star Jennifer Nettles. You’ll also hear the first notes of Parton’s new yuletide tune “Circle of Love” in the clip, which happens to appear on Nettles’ holiday album, To Celebrate Christmas, as well.

Christmas of Many Colors film premieres on November 30 at 8 p.m. ET on NBC. You can watch the sneak preview on YouTube.
