Neal Preston; Jay BlakesbergThe initial lineup for the 2017 Mountain Jam festival has been announced, and the 13th annual event features a pair of Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees as headliners — Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers and the Steve Miller Band. The extravaganza, which was co-founded by Gov’t Mule frontman and ex-Allman Brothers Band guitarist Warren Haynes, will take place June 16-18 at Hunter Mountain, New York.

Among the other artists on next year’s bill are Peter Frampton, blues-rock guitar whiz Gary Clark Jr. and Neil Young‘s current backing group, Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real, who are fronted by Willie Nelson‘s son Lukas.

MountainJam.com currently is hosting a special 24-hour pre-sale today, November 15, that’s offering discounted tickets for the event. Visit the website for more details.

Petty and the Heartbreakers’ Mountain Jam appearance currently is the only show that the band has confirmed for 2017. Miller and his group, meanwhile, recently lined up three concerts in March — on March 23 in Huntsville, Alabama; March 28 in Durham, North Carolina; and March 29 in Asheville, North Carolina.
