The single was unveiled on ABC News, courtesy of ABC anchor and reporter Amna Nawaz, for a group of Prince superfans this Tuesday inside New York City’s Cutting Room Studios.

“Moonbeam Levels” was recorded in 1982 and was considered for inclusion on Prince’s never-released album Rave unto the Joy Fantastic in 1988.

The track will finally become available to listen on the artist’s greatest hits album, 4ever, available today.

“Moonbeam Levels” and 4ever are Prince’s first album and single release since his death on April 21.
