ABC/Randy HolmesContrary to reports, Elton John is definitely not going to perform at Donald Trump’s inauguration.

According to the New York Post, a member of Trump’s presidential transition team claimed on a British TV show that “Elton is going to be doing our concert on the mall for inauguration,” adding that the performance “shows our commitment to gay rights.”

However, Elton’s rep tells ABC News that the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, who very vocally supported Hillary Clinton during the election, will not be performing at President-elect Trump’s bash.

In fact, Elton said in October, speaking of Trump, “We need a humanitarian in the White House, not a barbarian.”

The singer also wasn’t happy about the fact that Trump would often play his hit “Tiny Dancer” during campaign events. Earlier this year, according to the New York Post, he said, “I don’t really want my music to be involved in anything to do with an American election campaign…I’m not a Republican in a million years.”
