Courtesy of Webster PR; Chapman BaehlerDon McLean and Cyndi Lauper are among the latest artists to sign on to perform during the Dolly Parton-hosted telethon Smoky Mountains Rise: A Benefit for the My People Fund, which takes place tonight at 8 p.m. ET. The three-hour event, which will benefit families affected by the devastating forest fires in Sevier County, Tennessee, will air on Great American Country, AXS TV, RFD and The Heartland Network, and will be simulcast on radio as well.

Other newly announced performers include country stars Hank Williams Jr., Alabama, Brooks & Dunn singer Ronnie Dunn, Jamey Johnson and former American Idol finalist Lauren Alaina. They join such previously reported artists as Kenny Rogers, Alison Krauss, Reba McEntire and, of course, Parton herself.

Dolly’s My People Fund is providing $1,000 per month to families in Sevier County that lost their primary residences in the recent fires. During the telethon, viewers will be able to call 1-866-CARE-MORE to donate to the cause.
