Airing Sunday, January 15, at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT, the flick documents an October 16, 2002, performance in the Spanish city at the Palau Sant Jordi.

Live in Barcelona was first complete Springsteen concert ever to be officially released on home video. The event, which took place during the Boss’ world tour in support of The Rising, included performances of “Born to Run,” “Born in the U.S.A.,” “Thunder Road,” “Badlands,” “Dancing in the Dark,” “The Rising,” “Darkness on the Edge of Town” and many other memorable songs.

The E Street Band lineup at the time included founding saxophonist Clarence Clemons and keyboardist Danny Federici, both of whom have since passed away. During the concert, Bruce takes request from the audience, has fun interacting with his band mates and delivers one of his typically inspired performances.

In other news, Springsteen will take part in a special Q&A event on Tuesday, January 10, at Monmouth University’s Pollak Theatre in West Long Branch, New Jersey. Robert Santelli, executive director of the Grammy Museum and a former Monmouth University professor, will moderate the sold-out event, called “A Conversation with Bruce Springsteen.” Since 2011, the university has served as the home of the Bruce Springsteen Special Collection, which features more than 30,000 pieces of Springsteen-related memorabilia items.
