Courtesy of The Best FestBoz Scaggs and Norah Jones are among the well-known artists slated to perform at a pair of Neil Young tribute shows scheduled to take place next month in two Texas cities. The Neil Fest Texas charity concerts will be held on February 18 at Austin’s Paramount Theatre and February 19 at Dallas’ Granada Theater, and will raise money for Refuge Foundation for the Arts, a non-profit organization that helps support musicians and artists.

Among the other performers who will appear at one or both of the Neil Fest concerts are longtime Bob Dylan touring guitarist Charlie Sexton, Heartless Bastards singer Erika Wennerstrom, The Flatlanders, Shakey Graves and Alison Mosshart of The Kills.

The shows are the latest in an ongoing series of tribute events curated by The Best Fest, which also has organized concerts paying homage to Dylan, Tom Petty, George Harrison, Brian Wilson and The Rolling Stones.

As usual for Best Fest events, The Cabin Down Below Band will serve as the house band for the Neil Fest gigs. The group is led by Best Fest founder Austin Scaggs, who is Boz’s son.

“We are going to throw two Texas-sized parties for our hero Neil Young,” says Austin Scaggs. “All Neil, all night, with an incredible cast of musicians.”
