Jay Blakesberg; Gregg RothLast November, Steve Miller Band and Peter Frampton were announced as part of the lineup for the 2017 Mountain Jam festival, and now the two legendary rock acts have unveiled a full list of joint summer tour dates.

The North American trek, which currently features 32 dates, kicks off June 15 in Holmdel, New Jersey, and is mapped out through an August 13 show in Murphys, California.

Frampton will open for Steve Miller and his band throughout the tour. Both artists’ Mountain Jam performances are scheduled for June 18. Among the major cities that the trek will visit: Toronto; Philadelphia; Kansas City, Missori; Tulsa, Oklahoma; Salt Lake City; Las Vegas; and Los Angeles.

“Peter and I first met at Olympic studios in London in the late sixties when we were both just starting our recording careers,” says Miller about his tour mate. “He was a wonderful guitarist and songwriter then and he is even more so today. Over the years, we’ve played together in venues from theaters to football stadiums and everything in between. He always sets the musical bar high, his band always knocks me out, and I’m thrilled we are going to spend the summer together doing a great run of concerts.”

Frampton, meanwhile, reveals that Miller has asked if he’d join him to jam on a few songs during his set.

“‘YES PLEASE!’ was my very quick answer!” says Peter. “Music is all about having fun and playing from the heart. I can guarantee you much fun will be had by all on this tour.”

Both the Miller Band and Frampton also have their own spring headlining shows lined up. Visit SteveMillerBand.com and Frampton.com to check out their complete schedules.
