Bill Bernstein; David McClisterForeigner and Cheap Trick teaming up this summer for a U.S. tour marking the 40th anniversary of their respective self-titled debut albums, and in honor of the occasion, tickets to select stops on the trek are being sold at the special price of $19.77 for a limited time.

The ticket price, of course, is a nod to 1977, the year Foreigner and Cheap Trick’s first albums arrived in stores. The discount tickets, which are available for nearly all the shows of the tour, went on sale Monday at LiveNation.com.

The tour gets underway July 11 on Syracuse, New York, and runs through a September 9 concert in Auburn, Washington. As previously reported, Jason Bonham and his Led Zeppelin Experience tribute group will open most of the shows during the outing.

Founding Foreigner guitarist and songwriter Mick Jones says of the trek, “I can’t imagine a better group of friends to share this monumental tour with than Cheap Trick and Jason Bonham, who are sure to make it a true tribute to the everlasting power of rock and roll.”
