Credit: Jess GriffinWith Ann Wilson scheduled to wind down the initial leg her 2017 solo tour on Friday, April 7, in Cranston, Rhode Island, the Heart singer has now announced plans to return to the road in May and stay there straight on into the summer.

Wilson’s new series of dates begins with a May 19 concert in Indio, California, and is mapped out through a July 2 in Anaheim, California. The second leg features a total of 24 dates in all.

As previously reported, Wilson’s solo show includes performances of Heart classics, cover songs by some of the artists who influenced her and material from her solo albums. Her backing band includes Heart guitarist Craig Bartok, who also played with Ann’s recent side project The Ann Wilson Thing; The Ann Wilson Thing bassist Andy Stoller; and ex-Heart drummer/percussionist Denny Fongheiser.

Among the covers Wilson has been singing at her recent shows are The Who‘s “The Real Me,” “Won’t Get Fooled Again” and “Love, Reign O’er Me”; The Jimi Hendrix Experience‘s “Manic Depression”; Yes‘ “I’ve Seen All Good People”; The Black Crowes‘ “She Talks to Angels”; Peter Gabriel‘s “Don’t Give Up”; The Animals‘ “We’ve Gotta Get Out of This Place”; The Buffalo Springfield‘s “For What It’s Worth”; and Aretha Franklin‘s “Ain’t No Way.”
