Credit: Jill JarrettIf you love The Doors madly, here’s some cool news: The band’s founding guitarist, Robby Krieger, has announced a series of spring U.S. tour dates with his solo band. The trek kicks off April 7 in Pasadena, California, and is mapped out through a June 17 concert in Davenport, Iowa.

Krieger’s outing also includes stops in New York City, Nashville, Indianapolis and Chicago. Fans can expect to hear a set made up mainly of classic Doors material. Robby’s band features his son Waylon on lead vocals, as well as bassist Phil Chen and drummer Ty Dennis, who served as the longtime rhythm section of the various Doors spinoff bands Krieger’s led with late keyboardist Ray Manzarek.

As previously reported, The Doors are celebrating the 50th anniversary of their self-titled debut album this year. An expanded reissue of the record is due out this Friday, March 31, and various special events are expected to be announced later in 2017.
