Credit: Kevin NixonYes fans will now be able to check out two different versions of the band on tour this year: the spinoff group previously called ARW has officially renamed itself Yes Featuring Jon Anderson, Trevor Rabin and Rick Wakeman.

The newly rechristened band, which began touring last year, has announced a 2017 North American trek kicking off August 26 in Stockton, California, and mapped out through an October 11 show in Clearwater, Florida.

Regarding the band’s decision to change its moniker, singer Anderson says, “It’s very simple. The fans want it, we want it and it’s our right to use the name. Yes music is in our DNA!”

On Friday, Anderson, Rabin and Wakeman were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as members of Yes, along with two current members of the band — guitarist Steve Howe and drummer Alan White — and late bassist Chris Squire, founding drummer Bill Bruford and founding keyboardist Tony Kaye. At the ceremony, Anderson, Rabin and Wakeman performed with Howe, White and Rush‘s Geddy Lee, who filled in for Squire.

In addition to its North American tour, Yes Featuring Anderson, Rabin and Wakeman plans to release a concert DVD later in 2017 that was filmed last month at the finale of their recent UK trek in Manchester. The group also is recording an album that it expects to put out early next year.

As for Yes’ current incarnation, they recently announced dates for a touring version of its multi-artist Yestival event running from early August to early September. The U.S. trek also will feature Todd Rundgren and Carl Palmer’s ELP Legacy. In addition, Yes issued a statement revealing that it “has no plans to tour with the guys from ARW next year.”
