Credit: Ida Mae AstuteMotown legend Diana Ross was previously announced as a headliner for this year’s Essence Festival, but now the exact date of her performance has been confirmed. The ex-Supremes singer will hit the main stage to close out the New Orleans event’s first full day, June 30.

Ross’ appearance at the concert series, which takes place June 29 to July 2 at the Superdome, will be her first.

Meanwhile, Chaka Khan is part of an all-female lineup that will perform on July 1, with Mary J. Blige serving as that day’s headliner. The Essence Festival’s final day will be headlined by Chance the Rapper.

The 2017 edition of the fest is slated to feature more than 40 acts across five stages. Tickets are on sale now, with single-night passes priced starting at $50 per person per night.
