The Northern Michigan University ROTC Wildcat Battalion will conduct its annual Junior ROTC Leadership Day with students from Ironwood and Calumet on Saturday, Oct. 29. NMU students will brief the middle school and high school students on the university’s ROTC program and guide them through “leadership reaction courses,” a series of leadership development and team-building activities. The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on the soccer fields behind the NMU Superior Dome (or in Vandament Arena if there is inclement weather). Media are welcome to cover the event. All students are invited to a tailgate BBQ and the NMU football game after the activities are completed.
