This week, Bowie reached a major modern musical milestone: his catalog of songs has notched 1 billion streams on the Spotify service alone.

Bowie’s list of most-streamed individual songs is topped by his memorable anthem “‘Heroes,'” which next month will mark its 40th anniversary. The tune, which originally was recorded in English, French and German, was released as a single in the U.K. on September 23, 1977.

Other tunes on Bowie’s most-streamed-on-Spotify tally include “Let’s Dance” at #2, “Space Oddity” at #3, “Life on Mars” at #4 and “Starman” at #5.

As previously reported, in commemoration of the “‘Heroes'” anniversary, a limited-edition vinyl picture disc boasting two versions of the song will be released on September 22.

The seven-inch disc will feature a 2017 remastered version of the original single version of “‘Heroes'” on its A-side, backed with a previously unreleased recording of Bowie performing the tune on late T. Rex frontman Marc Bolan‘s U.K. TV show Marc in 1977.

Multiple versions of “‘Heroes'” also will appear on the upcoming Bowie box set A New Career in a New Town (1977-1982), which will be released on September 29.

The expansive collection includes remastered versions of four Bowie studio albums — 1977’s Low and “Heroes”, 1979’s Lodger and 1980’s Scary Monsters (and Super Creeps); two mixes of the 1978 live set Stage; and a compilation titled Re:Call 3 that gathers together single edits, B-sides, soundtrack recordings and more.
