BMGThe Beach BoysMike Love will be spreading good vibrations with a new double album called Unleash the Love. The 25-track collection, which features previously unreleased solo songs and new versions of tunes by his famous band, will be released on November 17 as a two-CD set, two-LP vinyl package and digital download.

The originals on Unleash the Love find the 76-year-old Rock & Roll Hall of Famer exploring various musical genres, including rock, gospel, R&B and pop, while offering positive messages about the power of love.

“I’ve been working on these unreleased songs on and off for many years now and I’m excited to share them with the world,” said Mike Love. “As a writer, I kept gravitating to this idea of love, in all forms. Romantic love, unrequited love, lasting love, spiritual love, love for the planet, and what the absence of love can do to us as a people.”

He adds, “This album is my way of communicating what the world needs now is love sweet love.”

Among the original songs is “Pisces Brothers,” a tribute to the late George Harrison that was inspired by the historic 1968 trip The Beatles and Love took to India to study Transcendental Meditation. There’s also the album’s title track, a gospel-influenced tune that you can listen to now at Love’s official SoundCloud page.

The new renditions of Beach Boys songs include Love’s recently released remake of “Do It Again,” featuring Mark McGrath and honorary Beach Boy John Stamos. Stamos also plays drums on two of the original tracks.

Unleash the Love will be available for pre-order starting October 27. Fans purchasing Beach Boys concert tickets will be able to pre-order the album at a discounted price.
