ABC/Randy HolmesU2 has partnered with Amazon Music to create an exclusive new audio special celebrating the impending release of the band’s latest album, Songs of Experience.

The U2 Experience launches tonight at 6 p.m. ET, and will feature new and archival interviews with the band members, live performances of classic and new songs recorded during U2’s The Joshua Tree 2017 Tour, and additional content.

Fans will be able to check out the special at Amazon Music, at Amazon.com/TheU2Experience and on the Amazon Music mobile app and web player. In addition, Amazon Prime members and Amazon Music Unlimited subscribers will be able to listen to the programming on Amazon Echo devices by asking, “Alexa” to “play The U2 Experience.”

Among the content that will be featured on The U2 Experience will be a chronology of the Irish rockers’ career, commentary on and stories about significant songs and events in the group’s history, and a selection of the band’s best-loved tunes.

In one new interview featured in the special, The Edge says, “I hope you don’t need to know anything about U2, or anything about the context, to enjoy [Songs of Experience]. I think it’s an album of just classic songs, great melodies, great hooks, great lyrics.”

The U2 Experience will run right up until Songs of Experience is released this Friday, December 1.
