Dia Dipasupil/Getty ImagesFormer Talking Heads frontman David Byrne has scheduled a brief series of U.S. shows that will take place in various cities throughout the Northeast. The trek kicks off March 3 in Red Bank, New Jersey, and is mapped out through a March 10 concert in Kingston, New York.

Byrne suggests in a post on his Twitter feed that the shows will be quite the spectacle.

“We’ll be doing some new songs, & many others that will, I assume, be familiar,” David writes. “I’m excited. This is the most ambitious show I’ve done since the shows that were filmed for [the 1984 Talking Heads concert film] Stop Making Sense, so fingers crossed.”

Byrne is also slated to perform at a handful of international festivals next year: Lollapalooza Chile in Santiago on March 16; Lollapalooza Argentina in Buenos Aires on March 18; the INmusic Festival in Zagreb, Croatia, on June 25; and the Roskilde Festival in Roskilde, Denmark, on July 6.

Meanwhile, a Reddit forum called r/indieheads recently reported that it had come upon an Amazon listing — which has since been removed — accepting pre-orders for a new Byrne album titled American Utopia with a March 9, 2018, release date. David’s most recent studio album was 2012’s Love This Giant, a collaboration with St. Vincent.
