<strong>Munising</strong> – Independence Day will be celebrated all day long on Wednesday, July 4 in Munising.
There will be parades, food and games in Bayshore Park, and the best fireworks. The schedule for the day is as follows:
8:30 a.m. – Fun Run – Bayshore Park, $10 entry fee, registration at 7:30 a.m.
10 a.m. – Flag Raising – All Veterans Memorial, Bayshore Park
12:30 p.m. – Parade – Theme “Celebrate All of Alger County’s Beauty”
2 p.m. and on – Food, Games, Beer Tent
3:30 p.m. – Pet Parade – Contestants meet at the Munising Post Office at 3 p.m.
4:30 p.m. – Waterfight by the Munising Volunteer Fire Dept
10:15 p.m. – Fireworks Cruise – contact the Alger County Chamber of Commerce 387-2138 , 129 E Munising Avenue (across from Subway) for tickets
10:30 or Dark – Fireworks Display
