Credit: Michie TurpinKansas wrapped up its 2017 Leftoverture 40th Anniversary Tour this past Saturday, but the veteran prog-rock band will continue to carry on in the New Year. So far, 14 shows have been confirmed for 2018, spanning from a March 9 concert in Atlantic City, New Jersey, through am August 12 performance in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

The group’s shows are spread across the country, and include stops in West Virginia, Mississippi, Louisiana, Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, Iowa, New York, South Dakota, Nebraska and California. An April 26 gig in Englewood, New Jersey, will feature Southern rockers The Outlaws as the opening act.

Last month, Kansas released a new concert album called Leftoverture Live & Beyond that includes performances from 12 shows the group played during the spring 2017 leg of its anniversary trek. Besides live versions of every song on Leftoverture, including the classic “Carry On Wayward Son,” the record features performances of other popular Kansas tunes, such as “Point of Know Return” and “Dust in the Wind.” It also boasts renditions of several tunes from Kansas’ latest studio album, 2016’s The Prelude Implicit.
