Bobby Bank/Getty ImagesFollowing the tragic news that Cranberries singer Dolores O’Riordan suddenly passed away at the age of 46 on Monday, Kinks guitarist Dave Davies reveals that she “seemed happy and well” during a recent encounter.

“I’m really shocked that #DoloresORiordan has passed so suddenly,” Davies wrote in an Instagram post, which also featured a photo of the two of them. “I was talking to her a couple weeks before Christmas she seemed happy and well.”

Davies also revealed that the two musicians discussed collaborating, adding, “We even spoke about maybe writing some songs together – unbelievable god bless her.”

No cause of death for O’Riordan has been revealed as of yet, but a statement from O’Riordan’s publicist read, “Irish and international singer Dolores O’Riordan has died suddenly in London today. She was 46 years old. The lead singer with the Irish band The Cranberries, was in London for a short recording session.”
