Mark Weiss; David McClisterPoison is promising fans nothing but a good time on a just-announced 2018 North American tour that also will feature Rock & Roll Hall of Famers Cheap Trick. The “Poison…Nothin’ but a Good Time 2018” tour kicks off May 18 in Irvine, California, and is plotted out through a June 24 show in Allentown, Pennsylvania.

Modern-rock act Pop Evil is confirmed to open 12 of the 25 dates on the trek, while support acts for the other shows will be announced soon.

For the second year in a row, Poison will be touring with its original lineup — singer Bret Michaels, guitarist CC DeVille, bassist Bobby Dall and drummer Rikki Rockett.

Tickets for some shows on the tour will go on sale to the general public starting this Friday February 9, and Saturday, February 10. All three groups are offering VIP meet-and-greet packages that are available now.

Poison and Cheap Trick previously toured together, along with Def Leppard, back in 2009.

“It’s going to be a mega concert and party combined,” says Michaels in a statement. “We will be playing all the hits and bringing high energy rock and roll good times. I promise this will be awesome. My friends Cheap Trick and Pop Evil will be joining us as well as some special guests on select dates. Again, I know all the bands with all the hits will be giving 1000%!!!”

Adds Cheap Trick guitarist Rick Nielsen, “Another Poison/Cheap Trick Tour!!! It’s always been FUN with these guys!”
