Credit: Scott RichieToto has announced the initial 13 dates of the North American portion of the band’s 40th anniversary trek, dubbed the 40 Trips Around the Sun Tour. The outing gets underway on July 30 in Vancouver, Canada, and currently is mapped out through an August 21 show in Kansas City, Missouri.

Tickets for the shows go on sale to the general public this Friday, March 2, at 10 a.m. local time via and Pre-sale tickets will be available starting Tuesday, February 27, at 10 a.m. local time; visit for more details. Additional concerts will be announced soon.

“Myself, David [Paich], Steve [Porcaro] and Joseph [Williams] are humbled and thrilled at the long lasting success of the band,” says founding Toto guitarist Steve Lukather. “This 40th Anniversary tour is going to be a special one for us and all of the fans that come out.”

Toto recently launched its 40 Trips Around the Sun Tour with a series of European concerts that’s scheduled to wrap up on April 8 in Glasgow, U.K. In conjunction with its 40th anniversary celebrations, the band issued a career-spanning compilation titled 40 Trips Around the Sun earlier this month, and is also planning to release an expansive limited-edition box set called All In this October.
