ABC/Richard CartwrightRoger Daltrey‘s U.S. solo tour has been extended into the late summer.

The Who frontman has announced two new shows scheduled for August 10 in Saratoga, California, and August 15 in San Diego. Like the brief run of stateside shows Daltrey played last month, the new dates will feature Roger and a backing group that includes members of The Who’s touring band.

Fans can expect to hear a mix of classic Who songs, lesser-known gems by the band and selections from Roger’s solo career at the shows.

The August concerts will follow a previously announced series of special concerts Daltrey will play in June and July that will showcase a full performance of The Who’s classic 1969 rock opera Tommy with orchestral accompaniment.

The “Roger Daltrey Performs The Who’s Tommy” tour is mapped out from a June 8 concert in Bethel, New York, through a July 8 show in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. Those shows will feature Daltrey and his solo band joined by a different orchestra at each stop on the trek.

As previously reported, Roger will be releasing a new soul-inspired solo album called As Long as I Have You on June 1. It’s mostly cover songs, with two self-penned original tunes, and The Who’s Pete Townshend played guitar on seven of the 11 tracks on the album.

This is Daltrey’s first solo effort since his 2014 collaborative record with Wilko Johnson, Going Back Home.
